CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedThe vulnerability affects the Linux kernel's AMD GPU driver, specifically in the handling of voltage index lookups for Vega10 graphics cards, where insufficient bounds checking can lead to potential out-of-bounds access. This flaw could result in system instability or crashes if exploited, impacting users relying on affected AMD graphics hardware. Organizations using Linux with Vega10 GPUs should prioritize addressing this issue to maintain system reliability and security.
Original NVD Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/pm/powerplay: bounds-check voltage index in Vega10 lookup vddInd, vddciInd and mvddInd from VBIOS-parsed tables index into vddc, vddci and vddmem lookup tables without bounds checks across nine sites. Return -EINVAL when any index is out of range.
