CyberRota Analysis

AI-Generated

The WP Mobile Menu plugin for WordPress versions prior to 2.9 is vulnerable due to improper nonce verification during settings import, allowing attackers to exploit an administrator's session to import malicious settings. This results in Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), where unescaped values are displayed to all visitors, potentially compromising user data and site integrity. WordPress site administrators using this plugin should prioritize updating to the latest version to mitigate this security risk.

Original NVD Description

The WP Mobile Menu WordPress plugin before 2.9 does not correctly verify the nonce on its settings import, so an attacker can import arbitrary WP Mobile Menu WordPress plugin before 2.9 settings through a cross-site request in an administrator's session, and the imported values are then output unescaped to every visitor, resulting in Stored Cross-Site Scripting.
