CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedA critical path traversal vulnerability in the Btrfs storage driver of Canonical LXD on Linux allows authenticated users with instance creation privileges to manipulate files and directories on the host filesystem as root. By exploiting a crafted entry in backup/optimized_header.yaml, attackers can delete or replace arbitrary files, posing significant risks to system integrity and data security. Organizations using LXD should prioritize patching this vulnerability to mitigate potential exploitation.
