CyberRota Analysis

AI-Generated

The Hustle WordPress plugin versions prior to 7.8.14.2 are vulnerable due to inadequate validation of shortcodes in submitted form values, enabling unauthenticated users to execute any registered shortcode. This could lead to unauthorized content manipulation or the execution of malicious scripts, potentially compromising site integrity. WordPress site administrators using this plugin should prioritize updating to the latest version to mitigate the risk.

Original NVD Description

The Hustle WordPress plugin before 7.8.14.2 does not prevent shortcodes in submitted form values from being executed when it substitutes those values into the message it returns after submission, because the guard it applies can be defeated by nesting, allowing unauthenticated users to run any shortcode registered on the site.
