The vulnerability in the TCG TPM 2.0 reference code allows local attackers with elevated privileges to exploit information leakage, enabling them to obtain credentials for falsified TPM keys, such as Attestation Keys or TLS authentication keys. This could lead to the falsification of TPM 2.0 attestations, compromising the integrity of systems relying on these keys for secure operations. Organizations utilizing TPM 2.0 technology should prioritize addressing this issue to safeguard against potential credential misuse and system integrity threats.
