CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedA trust-boundary vulnerability in CRI-O's sandbox state persistence allows attacker-controlled pod metadata to overwrite critical bookkeeping information. This flaw can lead to container escape, potentially exposing host-side runtime-management resources within the container environment. Organizations utilizing CRI-O for container orchestration should prioritize addressing this vulnerability to mitigate the risk of unauthorized access to host resources.

Original NVD Description
A trust-boundary flaw in CRI-O's sandbox state persistence allows attacker-influenced pod metadata to overwrite CRI-O's own reserved sandbox bookkeeping; once reloaded as trusted after a restart, a later container recreate in that sandbox can expose a host-side runtime-management resource inside the container, enabling container escape.
