CyberRota Analysis

AI-Generated

Frappe framework versions prior to 16.23.0 and 15.112.0 are vulnerable to remote code execution (RCE) due to inadequate validation of tarfile members during package import. This flaw could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server, potentially compromising the entire application. Organizations using affected versions should prioritize upgrading to the patched releases to mitigate this critical security risk.

Original NVD Description

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.23.0 and 15.112.0, TarSlip RCE was possible in Package Import because tarfile members were not sufficiently checked before extraction. This issue is fixed in versions 16.23.0 and 15.112.0.
