Oracle Java SE versions 8u491, 8u491-perf, and 11.0.31 are vulnerable to an easily exploitable flaw in the Scripting component, allowing unauthenticated attackers with network access to trigger a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability can be exploited through APIs, particularly in environments running untrusted code via Java Web Start applications or applets. Organizations using these Java versions, especially those exposing them to the internet, should prioritize patching to mitigate the risk of service disruption.
