CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedThe Brizy WordPress plugin prior to version 2.8.19 is vulnerable due to inadequate sanitization of featured-image focal-point coordinates, which allows users with Contributor roles or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. This vulnerability can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, potentially compromising the sessions of higher-privileged users reviewing the posts. WordPress site administrators and developers using this plugin should prioritize updating to the latest version to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
Original NVD Description
The Brizy WordPress plugin before 2.8.19 does not sanitize or escape featured-image focal-point coordinates submitted through one of its AJAX actions before storing them and later echoing them into HTML attributes in the post editor's Featured Image meta box, allowing users with the Contributor role or above to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute in the session of a higher-privileged user who opens the post for review.
