CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedConsul Community Edition and Consul Enterprise versions 1.13.0 through 2.0.2 are susceptible to an unauthenticated denial of service due to unbounded connection acceptance on external gRPC listeners. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, such as file descriptors and memory, leading to service disruption for legitimate users. Organizations using affected versions should prioritize upgrading to the patched releases (Consul 2.0.3 or Consul Enterprise 1.21.17, 1.22.11, and 2.0.3) to mitigate this risk.
