CyberRota Analysis

AI-Generated

The Podcast Player plugin for WordPress prior to version 8.3.1 is vulnerable due to inadequate validation of user-supplied input, enabling unauthenticated attackers to exploit server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerabilities. This flaw allows attackers to send requests to arbitrary hosts, potentially exposing sensitive data in RSS/XML format. WordPress site administrators using this plugin should prioritize updating to the latest version to mitigate the risk of unauthorized data access.

The Podcast Player WordPress plugin before 8.3.1 does not validate the destination of a server-side request built from user-supplied input, allowing unauthenticated attackers to make the server issue requests to arbitrary hosts and read back responses that parse as RSS/XML.
