We should be enabling this sooner as a part of the ndo_open path and then just letting the service task come online later. This will help to enforce the correct locking and brings the phylink interface online at the same time as the network interface, instead of at a later time. I tested this on QEMU to verify this was working by putting the system to sleep using "echo mem > /sys/power/state" to put the system to sleep in the guest and then using the command "system_wakeup" in the QEMU monitor. |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: HWS, Fix memory leak in hws_pool_buddy_init error path In the error path of hws_pool_buddy_init(), the buddy allocator cleanup doesn't free the allocator structure itself, causing a memory leak. | Exploit 1mo ago | 6.1 | A Cross Site Scripting vulnerability in JeeWMS v.3.7 and before allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via the logController.do component |
| 1mo ago | 5.3 | A stack-based buffer overflow can be remotely triggered when formatting an error message in the Control-M/Agent when SSL/TLS communication is configured. The issue occurs in the following cases: * Control-M/Agent 9.0.20: SSL/TLS configuration is set to the non-default setting "use_openssl=n"; * Control-M/Agent 9.0.21 and 9.0.22: Agent router configuration uses the non-default settings "JAVA_AR=N" and "use_openssl=n". |
| 1mo ago | 5.3 | The improper order of AUTHORIZED_CTM_IP validation in the Control-M/Agent, where the Control-M/Server IP address is validated only after the SSL/TLS handshake is completed, exposes the Control-M/Agent to vulnerabilities in the SSL/TLS implementation under certain non-default conditions (e.g. CVE-2025-55117 or CVE-2025-55118) or potentially to resource exhaustion. |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | Certain files with overly permissive permissions were identified in the out-of-support Control-M/Agent versions 9.0.18 to 9.0.20 and potentially earlier unsupported versions as well as in newer versions which were upgraded from an affected version. These files contain keys and passwords relating to SSL files, keystore and policies. An attacker with local access to the system running the Agent can access these files. |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | Control-M/Agents use a kdb or PKCS#12 keystore by default, and the default keystore password is well known and documented. An attacker with read access to the keystore could access sensitive data using this password. |

| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/kbuf: fix signedness in this_len calculation When importing and using buffers, buf->len is considered unsigned. However, buf->len is converted to signed int when committing. This can lead to unexpected behavior if the buffer is large enough to be interpreted as a negative value. Make min_t calculation unsigned. |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/dpu: Add a null ptr check for dpu_encoder_needs_modeset The drm_atomic_get_new_connector_state() can return NULL if the connector is not part of the atomic state. Add a check to prevent a NULL pointer dereference. This follows the same pattern used in dpu_encoder_update_topology() within the same file, which checks for NULL before using conn_state. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/665188/ |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/smb: Fix inconsistent refcnt update A possible inconsistent update of refcount was identified in `smb2_compound_op`. Such inconsistent update could lead to possible resource leaks. Why it is a possible bug: 1. In the comment section of the function, it clearly states that the reference to `cfile` should be dropped after calling this function. 2. Every control flow path would check and drop the reference to `cfile`, except the patched one. 3. Existing callers would not handle refcount update of `cfile` if -ENOMEM is returned. To fix the bug, an extra goto label "out" is added, to make sure that the cleanup logic would always be respected. As the problem is caused by the allocation failure of `vars`, the cleanup logic between label "finished" and "out" can be safely ignored. According to the definition of function `is_replayable_error`, the error code of "-ENOMEM" is not recoverable. Therefore, the replay logic also gets ignored. |
| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/kbuf: always use READ_ONCE() to read ring provided buffer lengths Since the buffers are mapped from userspace, it is prudent to use READ_ONCE() to read the value into a local variable, and use that for any other actions taken. Having a stable read of the buffer length avoids worrying about it changing after checking, or being read multiple times. Similarly, the buffer may well change in between it being picked and being committed. Ensure the looping for incremental ring buffer commit stops if it hits a zero sized buffer, as no further progress can be made at that point. |

| 1mo ago | 4.7 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Fix potential warning in trace_printk_seq during ftrace_dump When calling ftrace_dump_one() concurrently with reading trace_pipe, a WARN_ON_ONCE() in trace_printk_seq() can be triggered due to a race condition. The issue occurs because: CPU0 (ftrace_dump) CPU1 (reader) echo z > /proc/sysrq-trigger !trace_empty(&iter) trace_iterator_reset(&iter) <- len = size = 0 cat /sys/kernel/tracing/trace_pipe trace_find_next_entry_inc(&iter) __find_next_entry ring_buffer_empty_cpu <- all empty return NULL trace_printk_seq(&iter.seq) WARN_ON_ONCE(s->seq.len >= s->seq.size) In the context between trace_empty() and trace_find_next_entry_inc() during ftrace_dump, the ring buffer data was consumed by other readers. This caused trace_find_next_entry_inc to return NULL, failing to populate `iter.seq`. At this point, due to the prior trace_iterator_reset, both `iter.seq.len` and `iter.seq.size` were set to 0. Since they are equal, the WARN_ON_ONCE condition is triggered. Move the trace_printk_seq() into the if block that checks to make sure the return value of trace_find_next_entry_inc() is non-NULL in ftrace_dump_one(), ensuring the 'iter.seq' is properly populated before subsequent operations. |

| 1mo ago | 5.5 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: fix unregister_netdev call order in macb_remove() When removing a macb device, the driver calls phy_exit() before unregister_netdev(). This leads to a WARN from kernfs: ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernfs: can not remove 'attached_dev', no directory WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 27146 at fs/kernfs/dir.c:1683 Call trace: kernfs_remove_by_name_ns+0xd8/0xf0 sysfs_remove_link+0x24/0x58 phy_detach+0x5c/0x168 phy_disconnect+0x4c/0x70 phylink_disconnect_phy+0x6c/0xc0 [phylink] macb_close+0x6c/0x170 [macb] ... macb_remove+0x60/0x168 [macb] platform_remove+0x5c/0x80 ... The warning happens because the PHY is being exited while the netdev is still registered. The correct order is to unregister the netdev before shutting down the PHY and cleaning up the MDIO bus. Fix this by moving unregister_netdev() ahead of phy_exit() in macb_remove(). |
